Salsa On 2 Shines - Term 6 (6/6)

Join us for some high-energy and funky Salsa On 2 footwork and body movement! This is a solo footwork and technique class—no partner work.

Salsa on 2, also known as Mambo or New York style salsa, is a variant of salsa dancing that is characterised by dancing on the second beat of the music's rhythm, as opposed to Salsa On 1 which dance by breaking forward and back on the first beat.

Salsa on 2 is popular in many parts of the world, particularly in New York City where it originated in the 1960s. It has since spread globally and has become a prominent style in Salsa dancing communities worldwide.

Please note: This class is NOT for beginners. Prior experience is required. However, if you have experience with Salsa On 1 and are eager to learn On 2, you’re more than welcome to join!

Please wear casual and comfortable clothes that allow you to move around easily. The same applies for shoes – anything is fine as long as you are comfortable. 

You are welcome to register for the entire session of 6 classes or, individual classes however we do recommend trying to attend as many of the classes as possible to get the best possible experience.
