Tango Nuevo is a modern evolution of Argentine Tango that explores the structure of the dance while embracing creativity, musical interpretation, and new movement possibilities. While it is rooted in traditional Tango, Tango Nuevo opens the door to more dynamic shapes, elasticity in the embrace, and playful exploration of the music.

In this open-level Tango Nuevo class, we’ll explore concepts that expand your tango vocabulary. The focus is on understanding how Tango works so you can improvise, adapt, and develop your own style on the dance floor.

This class is suitable for dancers with some Tango experience who are curious to explore a more contemporary approach to the dance. Different options and variations will be offered so dancers can work at a level that suits them.

No need to bring a partner – we rotate partners in class regularly so everyone can experience different connections and styles.

Please wear casual, comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, and bring shoes you can dance in – comfort is key!

You can register for the full 6 week session or attend individual classes, though we recommend attending as many as possible to get the most out of the concepts and your dancing.
